You never know when the person you see on the news today will be your neighbor tomorrow. Living in Utica, also known as the “Town that Loves Refugees," makes this a reality. Utica has welcomed more than 17,000refugees to the city since 1981. Refugees are individuals who have inherently had their fundamental rights violated: forced to flee because of who they are or what they believe.
